Paper Hearts

Contributed by weepingprophet on Saturday, 8th January 2005 @ 11:03:55 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

traced lines
of papercut blood
desperate hearts
of wounding
fall away we never break
our paper hearts
that cut
loveless

we're artists
with scars to prove
our paper hearts
leave you bleeding too
examine the wound
of knowing
believe in folded lies
all we are is paper
so write
in the corners
blood stained
and in the middle
tear stained
and at the bottom
folded
to cover

our paper hearts
and all we feel
you'll never uncover
the paper hearts
they will never reveal

traced lines of wounding
desperate hearts
fall away
we'll never break
our paper hearts with never tell
the way we feel
and we'll never reveal
how our paper hearts are folding lies
artists that cut
loveless
