All the memories, the times, the tastes, the feelings,
dissolve into a colleidiscope of tumbling numbness
ever revolving in my head.
I push it back, but it overflows,
spilling silently through my heart,
innundating my soul with its bitter-sweet smell..
How can this dream, this dulcet smooth poison
hold me down fast as if it were stone?
It beckons me to surrender in its deadly sweet voice
and I wonder, what should happen if I were to give in?
Pressing harder on my soul, I find I'm weary from breathing
I feel I might sink, deep, and deeper still
until I join the lost souls and broken hearts
of the world between..
