I never meant to cause you pain

Contributed by chicken on Tuesday, 3rd December 2002 @ 06:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I never meant to cause you so much pain,
I don’t know, I must have been insane.
Thought I could bring someone into your life,
Now I only wish I could make things right.
I know I’ve ruined the friendship between you and me,
Because of the mistake I made to set you free.
I will tell him for your hand not to ask,
Because I understand how you feel at last.
I hang my head in sorrow and shame,
Ready to accept the harshness of blame.
If it would help, I’d run away,
But I know that your anger will always stay.
So forgive me if my options are few,
I only wanted the best for you.

Aww, this is sweet. Hey, don't worry, everyone makes mistakes. It's called being human. I'm sure she'll understand that and forgive you. It's clear from this poem that you're truly sorry for what you did, and if I can see that, I have no doubt that she will, too. Good luck! I hope everything works out.

I hope for you that someday she will realize that you were only trying in your way to do something good for her. I tried to help a lady once, with similar results, so I understand.

I hope GIn took the time to read this and see just how much you care. Your remorse seems truely genuine and I hope all turns out well between the both of you...give her some time to get over being so upset though.

You seem very heartbroken over what you've done and you've apologized from what i can see many times to this woman, i hope she realizes just how good of a friend you were trying to be, because the only thing i see that you did was try to do somthing good for her, and your apology should be accepted, you are only human and human's make mistakes...if grudges are held against you for what you've done then that is not your problem, you shouldnt ever wish that you could go back and change the past or change what you've done or said because it's made you who you are today, Never live with regret, and by admitting that you were wrong in what you did to her here in this poem shows alot of strength and courage and true friendship in my eyes. I commend you for what you've done and i for one see the good in all you've done in the past by just trying to do a good thing to begin with.....Thanks for sharing this one i enjoyed it alot......and i will end my novel now LOL...
