See them walkin',
Down the street.
See them draggin',
Their weary feet.
The sun beats down on them.
But they can't feel the heat.
They don't feel no heat.
See them hunger.
See them thirst.
See them linger,
On Main an' First.
See them crawl.
See them cry.
See them fall.
See them die.
See them peddle love,
On the corner.
The Sun beats down from above.
But they can't feel the warmth.
They don't feel no warmer.
See them con.
See them steal.
Their souls they pawn,
For their next meal.
See them borrow.
See them beg.
See them tomorrow,
In the same old rags.
See them lookin',
So very thin.
Wonder where they've been.
Livin' on the sidewalk.
The sidewalk never ends.

I have seen this and sat right in the middle of people doing this very thing, these people are very nice people, there are alot of people like this who would give up their own last dollar for someone else in need and that brings tears to my e yes because they are the ones in need....I have sat and talked to people like this and shared drinks with them, and i came to enjoy their company more so than i would enjoy anyone who was rich...Thanks for sharing this one i enjoyed it alot...it brought back many memories for me.....
