Untitled 5

Contributed by weepingprophet on Friday, 7th January 2005 @ 08:04:23 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

everyday i stumble in that building
the world where our paths cross constantly
you smile unaware
i am only here becuase of you
your voice reluctant on the line
when i said i wasn't coming back
and so i stayed to hear you laugh again

now when i pass you in the mornings
you whisper love as though it was never questioned
but it was just last week that you admitted
"we won't last forever"
what's holding you together?
you reach for my hand and i can't deny
this is us
you handling me too roughly under the table

you'll never ask me why i'm laying next to you
never wonder why i chose you
to venture inside of me for the first time
you'll believe that it's fate
this is destiny

love, you are the disease
the sickness that plagues me
every place is empty without you
i stayed becuase you hesitated
and i love becuase somewhere
a long time ago our paths crossed
our worlds collided
and you are the reason i wake up in the mornings
the sole survivor in my wreckage of a life
i am the forbidden one
unwilling to surrender to the ideals
you are a world of reluctance
but you are mine
