A New Song Of Solomon

Grief

Since you've been gone
I've grieved
this absence
when darkness
brings no reprieve
and the scent of you
still lingers
in my bed
Heavy thoughts
bring this jocund death
and warmth holds
no comfort
any longer
Memories of you
plague my dreams
and I wake
left
with your
fear
Those words
that take
no form
and scream
for explanation
When can we sing
a new song to god?
Our bed has been witness-
our bodies too-
to what we create
When can I kiss your tears
in the hope of years to come?
When can we sing again?
Let us make a new song of Solomon

That was so sweet, so beautiful. I fell in love with it very quickly and
after only one read. Nice job.
