Stranded upon Heartbreak Island
Caught between Denial and Remorse
Surrounded by seas of infinite tears
Lacking the simplest of life preservers.
Starving for the relinquished hunger of your love,
That which shall be my very downfall.
Hapless, at the least
Wandering aimlessly about,
From one shore to the next,
Going nowhere…going nowhere…
Finding no resolution
As this sickness becomes stronger;
Loneliness eating the very core of existence.
Delusions of a love once transpired
Haunting my now vague memories
…Just call this…Island fever?

I think you will write it again.
Or something like it...
I like the ideas in here,
the lost love truned to sickness...
The third and fourth stanzas
are the strongest.
It is a weak poem for you.
I find the best thing is to not be
too attached to stuff we feel
didn't come out right.
Keep trying until it's your best.
