I won't forgive God for turning his back on me

Contributed by desolantdreamer on Friday, 7th January 2005 @ 05:41:15 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Blood drips from an open wound
Created by a blade
I'm sitting in a river of wonderous blood
Grinning darkly
The pain's almost gone
Just one more gash otta do it
Lifting the blade once more
I make one smooth cut
Right across my wrist,
No good
I smile my first real smile in a long time
I hold the gun up an pull the trigger
Sure I could be dead if I waited for a minute
But the longer alive
The more pain inside
All I see is red
As a bullit tunnels through my head
I drop to the floor
And knock over the CD rack
There's no going back
You turned your back on me before
So just do it again
It doesn't hurt anymore
Cruel God, listen to what I'm saying
You turned your back on me before
I won't forgive you
Listen carefully
Cruel Lord, I take my leave!

Ummm, He doesn't need your forgiveness...however, your pain seeps through every line of this write, so I commend you for getting your feelings down with such impact.

What have you ever done for God. Last I checked slitting your wrist doesn't label you a saint.
It this wasn't a bluff, it wouldn't snow where you'd be going.

Whoa "The Early November" was pretty cruel in his comments... I know the pain it takes to write something like this, therefore, I hope you find peace... nicely written.

I know how you feel some times I felt like God turned his back on me, but somtimes you have to stop and think that all things happen for a reason. Don't think about what the others say. It's your choice to hate God or not, but I will tell you this, keep living it might pay off later. Nice right.

It's really depicitive of your emotions and confusion; a state of adolescent irrationality which I think most of us have been through nowadays. It's great... but well... I'm kind of worried for you dude. :)

Cool poem, but God never turns his back on anyone..he's always there for you..Actually we're the ones who turn our backs..He's the reason i'm still alive..
