because of a mans lies

Contributed by brokenwings on Friday, 7th January 2005 @ 12:51:11 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Tears fall from her deep grey eyes,
She gave him one more chance,
and when she heard his lies,
She started to dance
danced with someone new,
His eyes were gentle loving and kind,
He talked bout being left behind,
He held her as she cried
and his sincereity was just a lie,
for he soon made love to her with passion
and left her in the same fashion

now with each week that passes by,
her emotions change,
her hips spread,
she wishes she was dead,
but in her heart she feels more love than she's ever known.
and her hips are now fully blown,
she feels the little monster moving
she feels the nausea,
and does her vomitting.

all this now her life is about to change,
no one there in the room but her mom and her friend,
she pushes through the worst pain she could ever feel,
and for once she feels her heart move on
as she holds her brand new son,
and he has his eyes, she loved him on that night,
now she'll love him for life
but he'll never know the pain she felt,
when she lived with the hand she was dealt.

Now her son is just a little over one,
she walks into the store,
there he is standing eyes wide open
looking into his own eyes,
and he feels the lies he told
now he'll grow old
never knowing the love she has found
because of a mans lies...

the biginning of this kinda goes to show that the rebound is only what it is... seems like your dance led to another... one that ended up stepping on your feet... but life is one big chaotic dance... congradulations on your baby... but this poem doesn't really explain how a mans lies got you pregnant... the title could mean anything... "i was wearing a condom baby".. "i swear i pulled out".. "my seman can't get girls pregnant"?? i'm just curious.

powerful and gripping, I cannot praise such a work enough, this goes beyond any words I know. Evertything is in ther right place, the words flow like the most natural of rivers, 5 stars are an injsutice here. Again, very well done.
