Secret Admirer 23
While I was musing about her
Writing “Secret Admirer 22”
Love taught me a lesson
I share here with you !
The Lessons of Love
I perceived the wind a whispering
Subtly to my heart
I understood not the words it said
It persisted and would not depart
I heard the gentle cooing
Of a lovely mourning dove
She too was speaking to my heart
In the melody of love
I heard the brook a singing
As it journeyed serenely to the sea
Twas then I understood
Love was teaching me
A heart is like a butterfly
Guided gently by the breeze
Tho it knows not its destination
Love clearly sees
Love is always unselfish
Never threatening or proud
Always heard by the heart
Never raucous or loud
Love is always inspiring
Always in the company of grace
Blessed is the heart
Who feels its warm embrace
