Darkness, Beloved

Night's child wanders aimlessly
Dreams and thoughts persist
This uneasy mind
Feet upon ground so soft to the touch
As mists roll through clinging softly to flesh
Winds blow gently causing a chill
To rush forth beneath this angelic veil
So long without a human's touch
The touch of a lover to be precise
Lovelorn and sad this child is
As the years float by without a glance
Destiny's child one foot in front of the other
Walking in tune not heard by others
So dark and foreboding these memories are
Flooding back with fervor forgotten
Lightning flashes
Turning night into day
As thunder rumbles ever so steady
Sending frightened creatures
To the ends of the land
A voice so sweet
Yet so evil
Calling forth the energies
In which to spin trouble
As the anger inside wells up so deep
Drowning this soul
Within on giant leap
