You never knew that I was watching,
Or that as you taught you would inspire,
That somewhere deep iniside of me,
You would kindle a little fire,
For the excitement that you displayed,
Infused and lifted me,
Although it took a good long while,
At last the flames we see,
For the love of words,
And the need for rhyme,
Grew from those little sparks,
So glorious and sublime,
My gratitude,
My gratefulness know no bounds,
For they could never be expressed,
Not with words, nor meter, nor sounds,
