A Difficult Farewell

Contributed by BRUCE on Wednesday, 5th January 2005 @ 11:45:56 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

A Difficult Farewell

I write these words
with sadness in my heart
No greater love could there be
than the love I have for you

You have been my every dream
for all these years
More happiness in my life
I could never have imagined

My heart will break
as I walk out the door
Never to see the woman of my dreams
again in my last days

Know this my darling
you are Gods gift to the world
Every mans dream come true
to have a companion such as you

To have spent so many happy years together
sharing the good and the bad
As I walk out the door for the last time
know in your heart that I will love you forever

Sounds like a spiritual goodbye to me. One you would say if you knew you were leaving this earth and heading somewhere into the universe that we know nothing of. A write from a golden pen. May the spirits be with you.
