sailing on love's course

Contributed by mina-1 on Wednesday, 5th January 2005 @ 02:19:40 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

In the presence of your beauty
Which no one can defy
Your love so tenderly true
Lifting my hopes up high
For once you touched my heart
I knew i couldn't turn back
For what your presence meant
It meant a whole stack
You tamed my once wild soul
In every way you could
Leaving me bewildered feeling things
I never knew i would
That empty feeling that dwelt within my
Lonely heart
Has set itself a drift, another course on chart
Docking somewhere else far beyond these shores
Crashing waves ascending, the ocean calm once more
For love has hit a place and anchored itself in
Blocked the wound that bled acting as a pin
For when you set a sail
You made the course my heart
Shooting your arrows pointing
Like a target set for darts
So just around the corner love made itself found
Whichever way i turned my face love was a bound
As we set a sail now full throttle ahead
Not looking back on the misery for now it
shall be shed
Now the course is smooth, a sailing we shall go
Far beyond the horizon my heart with love shall flow
