i can bring you flowers but i can't touch you

Contributed by brokenwings on Tuesday, 4th January 2005 @ 11:35:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I finally made it to you today, and the tears burned my face.
you gave me everything that made me happy,
now i am the one to bring the gift
sat down beside you, wipped away the dust and grass,
placed my rose on top of you,
in that instant I knew you were gone ,
but you will never be forgotten,.
I loved you openly and completely.
I never feared any pain from you,
but my worst fear had to come true.
its been two years now, and the pain is still here,
but your not here at all, i can't just pick up the phone and call
but i can come lay beside you every day.
I can see your face on this grave stone.
and i will always love you...
and bring you flowers

my heart feels for you your expression of feeling paints the page.

a suggestion though just my opinion in my case I normally wont read or comment on anything that is asking for reads and comments Iv read yours before so of course I was going to read and comment. I tend to stray away from poems that ask for comments as many others on here do as well just a suggestion not meant to insult
