Winter's song

Night spreads out, killing day,
Birds are singing their eve-time song.
Bells are jingling all the way
Their melodies seem to go along.
Black bear sleeping in his den
His cubs are snuggled up waiting for Spring,
Hibernating day and night, but at night, so are men.
As I lay here and write.
Another bird takes flight.
As we sleep here, you and me,
The bird is going back to his tree.
