Separation Unendurable

Contributed by girish on Tuesday, 4th January 2005 @ 07:09:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

If you`ll say, ‘I will not leave you`, then tell me so
If you will tell this, it will survive me through this woe

Once it seemed a perfect joy, to look upon your face
But now the fear of parting, saddens each embrace

To trust you henceforth is very hard, if you ever depart
Even you know your promise and my breathing heart

If you depart, having promised, what blame is incurred
By those who really trusted to your reassuring word?

If you could guard my life, and from going you restrain
You fill my life, for if you depart, hardly we meet again

To cherish longing hope that you should ever gracious be
Is hard, when you could only convey your departure to me

The slipping bracelet on my wrist announced me before
The departure of the ruler of my heart, who soon be ashore

Sad to sojourn in town, where no kind person will dwell
It is even more sadder, to bid a beloved friend farewell

Fire burns the hands that touch, but its smart of love
Which could burn in hearts that far away remove

One could sustain sadness, driving sore distress away
This separation, uncomplaining many bear the livelong day
