Quiet furies

Twelve birds gather the strength of the wind in their wings.
Their brief candescence borrowed by the mists below,
dressing the waters with their inflection.
An illumination casting the clouds into shadow
stirs the emptiness of wreath and flower;
the spills of silver cover the vast escape of steel and iron towers.
A rain begins.
The sound of quiet furies collapse over heavy breath and snow.
The waters of the earth contort, swallowing the reflection
of an unopen, wounded sky.
We sat and watched the moon collide.
We kissed, the thunder wrote the mountain side.
We loved, the sea our hair the coming tide
swept away the stars.
(They are never the right words)

for autumngreeneyes,
I tried to write you a message...not sure if it went through(I hate computers)
the moon collides with the water....
The waters of the earth contort, swallowing the reflection
of an unopened, wounded sky.
the poem is about the sky reflecting on a body of water.....so basically the moon collides with the reflection...
think outside the box(ignore the boxes) ^_^

God golly gosh the last stanza!
"We kissed, the thunder wrote the mountain side.
We loved, the sea our hair the coming tide
swept away the stars."
Someone start my heart up again... Those words completely carried me away into this imaginary moment where I'm actually ON the mountainside (go figure) then suddenly I'm making love in the shallow waters along the shore. Needless to say... awesome imagery :) And overall a beautiful poem! *hugs the poem* |
