I open my mouth and put on kid’s gloves,
Talking to you is like juggling china,
It’s a fine line between love and hate,
Now, you’d rather straddle that than me,
How vulgar,
Apologies,
What would I do without Kids gloves?
Would I caress you or choke you?
Maybe both?
Kinky,
Maybe not.
The old spark, doused again,
One part water, one part petrol,
Inflamed and dampened all at once,
I should wish to offend you,
As much as you could offend me,
But you are fragile,
Fragile like a rock,
I want to say “***** You”,
As much as I mean “I love you”,
But I suspect you get that a lot.

Mm caressed by a boxing glove... stunning imagery ;) There's something about this poem I really enjoyed, altho I can't say for sure what it's actually saying. (I guess what's where the confusion bit kicks in?) Good write anyway lol |
