Golden rays of memories,
Warm the recesses of my mind,
Of splendid childhood happiness,
And of cherished ones so kind,
Of delightful Christmas cookies,
And of family and of friends,
Of shallow summer swimming holes,
And days I thought would never end,
Endless, timeless, images,
Scattered sweetly here and there,
How often I recall,
Those days spent without a care,
For they are who I am,
And they are all that I will be,
For when I look into these memories,
I see the things that have made me, me,

Sometimes I wish I didn't have memories...
but...then the other part of believes this poem. Memories are what make a person.
This really made me think.
