Sing a song,
Tell me a story
Of your people's former glory.
You are old,
Think you are smart?
You are just a dumb old fart.
Stupid people
Live useless lives
Hide behind a mask disguise.
There's only a few left,
Of the people who aren't dead.
Tell me please,
Why are you here?
Who are you?
What do you fear?
Fear death or fear life?
Fear a sharp blade of my knife?
Save your song,
Forget your story.
When you're dead I won't feel sorry.

I really like this. Especially this part:
Why are you here?
Who are you?
What do you fear?
Fear death or fear life?
Fear a sharp blade of my knife?
I always really love questions in poetry.
Hmmmm...I don't know why, and excuse me for saying this, but I think this part sort of takes away from the poem a little:
You are just a dumb old fart.
Great write though, very angry.
*hugs* Phil xxx |
