I Stand At the Crossroads

Contributed by taintedsoul on Monday, 3rd January 2005 @ 07:45:16 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I stand at a crossroads that bears a
sign that reads in tiny print …

… “all points lead no where” …

… which leads me to believe that
there are many points in life to
wander. Yet farther down the road
in each direction there stands multiple
obstacles to traverse.

Now there is something to ponder …
… not all things in life are easy to obtain.

At least, not anything worthwhile that is,
so I hear … and I sit there and this figure
appears. Scythe in hand and I figure this
to be the Reaper come to collect upon my
life debt.

… he’s only here to pass the time as well.

My friend, Death … now there’s a jolly chap,
he laughs heartily as he tells a joke about
three men in a bar. I’ve heard it before yet
coming from him it gives me a chuckle.

This is one for the memoirs for sure …

Could it be that the figure with the scythe is there to rid you of the roads not to go down? ;-)

truth in the words that there are always many decisions out there.

thanks for sharing!

I never read anything like this but I like it, at this point life seems meaningless and not worth the struggle.
