Captive to a spell
daughter of the forest
calls to syncopated magic
that knows no
boundaries.
Long tree shadows
stretched into the day
as silvery mists rest
in vapoury bars
revealing a steamy
haze.
Full of legend, tightly
wrought she weaves a
legacy through her
veins.
Trying to foresee danger
in the wood, she
lay on the rocks of water's
edge,
stroking one finger lightly
across her lips and
listens to sirens
announce disaster
in the distance.
