Every time I think of you
My heart skips a beat or maybe two
I remember the times we shared together
People said we were birds of a feather
But this is where our trip ends
We both look back as we round different bends
Maybe if I'd gone with you
I would have commited suicide too
But maybe if you'd come with me
Death would have let you be
And now I'm going back home
But I'm going to be there all alone
We've been down the same road but on different sides of the track
Mine was going forward while your's was going back
Now you've fallen into the deadly pit
I've come so close to the edge I could see where I would hit
Now you're gone I've become so hollow
I wonder now will I be the next to follow?
You forfited all your battles
Against the empty shell my soul still rattles
I've got some matches left to fight
But now I don't know what's wrong and what's right
I plan to see all of life through
I'm just sorry I had to do it without you
I hope there's peace where your soul resides
One day I'll turn away from the ever provocative suicide.
