Mild Disapproval

Do a mime for me
I’ll give you my applause
Even if my clapping is empty.
Frown at me in mild disapproval
When I shake my head and walk away.
Ah maturity, why must we act like children?
I’ll stab you in the back my dear
Even if I don’t want to
Blame my past, just don’t blame me.
So kiss me on the cheek
And hold my hand for a moment
Before walking into adulthood.
