Mourning a sad girl's Death

Contributed by godisgreat3842 on Sunday, 2nd January 2005 @ 07:24:49 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

This knife she slides across her wrist,
Her wet blood dripping onto the cold floor
Her life is dark.
With many secrets we may never know.

Her dad came home early that day
To find his daughter drenched in her own blood.
All he could do was yell and scream
At his daughter weeping with great pain.
He shouted at her,
''Clean up this mess and go to your room!
You're not gonna have dinner, you're fat enough to live!''

Late that night when everyone was asleep
Except for this one distraught girl,
She climbed out her window
Into the cold rainy night
And never was seen again.

The next day the police found her body in the river,
Her dad found a letter by her bed.
He read it quietly to himself
With tears trickling down his cheeks:

Dear Daddy,
I did not want to hurt you so,
but your anguish put me over the edge.
I cannot take it anymore,
it's just time for me to die.
Give Bryan a kiss and tell him I love him
and tell Kaity I'm sorry for leaving her alone.
Be strong Daddy, you can get through,
I'm still with you, but in a different way.
Be sturdy Daddy
knowing I still love you
I forgave you before I left.
With Love,
Steph

She jumped off a bridge that night
Knowing she would not survive.
But one thing she did not know
There was a big uproar about her death
And a crowd at her funeral.
It seemed the whole town was there
Even though she thought no one would care,
Mourning a sad girl's death.
And when her father looked at his little girl for one last time,
He knew she was happy now.

The words are so real, I hope she gets help. Stay as the good friend you are to her.

Nancy
