When you look at me, look closer look within
Don’t just see the colour of my skin.
When you glance my way don’t just see my face
Then judge me by my colour or race.
As you shake my hand, grasp it tight
I want to be a friend I don’t want to fight
As we sit and talk let us listen to what we say
Then maybe we’ll find a mutual way.
And when the time comes for us to part
We’ll go on our way with peace in our heart.
