Holding onto this memory
Of the nights I laid next to you
Waking up each morning
And smelling the colon I bought you
Where did those days and nights go
Where the love was so intense
How many nights do I have to go
Without sleep and just puffy red eyes
I don't wanna cry myself to sleep anymore
I don't wanna sleep alone
I just want to be back in your arms
And know that your mine forever
My world seems empty
And my soul is cleared out completely
My heart lays on the ground
My feet are cut from the shattered pieces
My hands run cold and my eyes get blurry
I don't want to feel the tears again
I just want to feel your tender touch
I need to hear your comforting words
I need to know you still need me
In the darkest parts of the night
So as you sit at your apartment
And listen to our song
I hope you remember those nights
And the things that happened behind closed doors
I love you Stephen Carney. And I don't care who knows.
