Candy coat my thoughts
Wrap me up in a warm ball
And keep me safe from this world
Cold metal people and steal words
Burn my soft flesh.
My heart does not fit
In the grease fire world
So turn it away and refuse
To be a part of their ways.
Come with me and we will go
Somewhere with people made of bone and blood
And a land made of earth and trees
Away from metal and grease.
Come to the unpeopled world
To a place where the earth still breaths
A land were the ground is left untouched
And the sky never moves.

thanks for sharing! good write. to have lived when things were much simpler (on the surface) would have been an experience. Our build-it, use-it, throw-it-away world can get depressing at times.
keep writing!!
