She's My Knight in Shining Armour

Contributed by Sir_Odd on Saturday, 1st January 2005 @ 10:57:29 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Her helmet is not one of steel,
Aluminum, or wood.
But one of brown and platinum hair,
Which to me is twice as good.

Most knights wear armour
Of heavy plates and links.
Mary wears just what she wants
Despite what anyone else thinks.

I want to be a knight to her,
But she needs me not for that.
She can take care of herself
No matter where she's at.

Even in medieval days,
She wouldn't be a damsel in distress.
She's braver and stronger than ever I could be,
Even when she wears a dress.

I know that she's my hero,
She instills confidence in me,
She claims that I'm here hero,
But I don't know how I could be.

I'm not a big strong athlete,
Or brave and fearless man,
With bulging, pulsing muscles,
or deep attractive tan.

I'll never really understand
How I drew her to me.
But one thing that I know for sure:
I'm contended as can be.

Anyone longs to meet his or her knight,
Dream of it all his or her life.
I've met mine and I have one goal:
To make my knight my wife.

She's my strength, she's my joy,
The life that through me does pour.
Because of this, I know that she
Is my knight in shining armour.

Well, I don't think it's corny, I think it's sweet.
And I would say you are very lucky to have each other.

Great write, your feelings showed well.

*hugs* Phil

Love is a funny thing, isn't it?
I don't know why you wouldn't like it...it's sweet as sugar and twice as thrilling!
I love you too by the way.....
