FREAKY!

Contributed by Factor on Saturday, 20th July 2002 @ 07:16:12 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

You seen that local guy?
The one who walks the street
With his discman blastin'
Sometimes walkin' to the beat

Yeah him, that one guy
He goes by once or twice a week
Says hello with a nod
And doesn't really speak

You might think he's dyin'
With all the clothes he wears
Long sleeve shirt an' jeans
But it don't look like he cares

People give him a look
Some think he's a freak
Kinda limps to one side
Leg must be weak

Well that guy
That's me
Walkin' to the music
For the town to see

As I walk by I can feel your eyes
And if I turn and catch your look
I just keep on movin'
And put a mark in my book

See, I'm counting up the freaks
The ones who need to stare
As I walk on by
Not seemin' to care

I count up the gazers
Racists, egoists, all the judgemental
I pass no verdicts
Jus' bein' experimental

I guess I'll go home
Relax and just laugh out loud
You see the books gettin' thick
Enough face3s for a crowd

All the people who pass judgement quick
Every single hater
See, those are the freaks
I'm just life's spectator
