This Miserable Feeling

Contributed by flat_line on Saturday, 1st January 2005 @ 09:33:11 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

i can not look into the mirror
for the only thing i see
is a worthless disgrace
staring back at me

i see tears fall down my face
as memories start to fill my mind
the hard times just kept coming
i know i was never fine

pregnant at sixteen
what was i to do
so much confusion and fear
who was i to talk to

four months went by
no one did i tell
afraid of the father's response
i knew what was to come was hell

then being forced into doing
what someone else thought was right
there was no time to think about it
i didnt even fight

Now i'm left with the memory
of seeing my child for the last time
left with these horrid thoughts
my baby is no longer alive

people call me a murderer
but they dont know the pain i feel
they dont know how i suffer
all i want to do is heal

they judge without seeing
the hurt they can cause
they assume i dont care
but they cant understand my loss

wow powerful write and very expressive on that.. we all make mistakes and you shouldn't have to pay for it forever as long as you are truly sorry and have learned from it..

peace and hope
JENNI

thanks for sharing. this was powerful, emotional, and well written. abortion isnt murder. those idiots obviously dont know that to murder something is, it has to have all 8 signs of life, and a fetus does not. they were doing what they think is best for you. i think that is best for you in many ways, but there is always a drawback. think before your actions, and memories can only be forgotten if you let them die. loss is a horrible thing, but its the price of life.

You have to look forward now, because the past is just that. Nobody else has the right to judge you for your decisions, and we all have done things that we either second guess or regret. This was a very heartfelt and powerful write...Thank you for allowing us into your world...Yvonne
