Letting go of the Pain

Contributed by godisgreat3842 on Saturday, 1st January 2005 @ 06:42:20 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

She's tried this once before,
But has not yet succeeded.
She's falling faster than ever before.
Finally she works up the courage to die,
Like a young deer learning to stand.
She's not sure when,
Where,
How,
Why?
Why? This she knows.
She's not happy with her life
And can't go on any longer.
As she prepares herself for the end,
She prays to God for forgivness.
Forgivness for stealing,
Cheating,
Lying,
Smoking,
Drinking,
Hating,
Living.
Then she leaves.

She leaves the house she's always loved,
the life that she so hates.
She leaves the brother she's always had,
The father she thought she knew.

And as she goes through this process,
Is set free of this mess they call her life,
She thinks about what she has done;
The people she has hurt,
The pain she has caused,
And starts to cry.
She wipes away the tears along with her life,
And the cold blood mixes with the hot tears coming from her eyes
And she knows
That she is letting go of her pain.
