The Call Of The Angel

Contributed by J_Ganey on Monday, 2nd December 2002 @ 12:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I knew at the moment I saw your heart spilled on my screen
That my angel was there, waiting for her knight in me
Your love becoming a glue, sealing shut open wounds
My skies of midnight blacks, turning into heavenly blues

Cascading tear drops, flooding a cavern floor
The call of the angel, who is everything I want and more
Boarding my vessel, dressed in a new color scheme
The light at the end of the cave beckoning me

The demons of my private hell baying, trying to get me to stay
Knowing you’re the one that was pulling me away
Reaching daylight for the first time in 18 years
With one last satanic cast, I seal the cave of my fears

Turning around, facing my heart’s destiny
Jason Travis Ganey, finally allowed to be free
And down waiting by the shore line, a serene scene
There you where, arms open waiting for me to fit between

Locked in that first embrace my world regained it’s colors
All my emotions reattached, and I felt as light feathers
Staring into your eyes, I heard your heart cry
Even though not a tear fell from your eyes

That was a year ago, yet the memory remains
And 365 days later, my heart remains unchanged
While I know we weren’t physically side by side that day
My mind’s eye perceived it all in that very way

Love’s shining star finally came into my reach
Behind your angel glow, left me without breath or speech
As long as there’s stars burning, and a planet out there turning
I’ll be here at your side, listening to your angelic calling

Waiting for the day, we stand inside our circle of roses
Rejoicing that it was you that God had chosen
Offering you the treasure of my heart, for forever and a day
Living each moment, in passion’s gaze, eternally to stay

Awaiting the day, you take my last name
And forever make yourself the keeper of my flame
The white rose, and the scent of love you bring
And the words that still inspire me, still ring

“I believe in you and me”

Happy 1 year anniversary, Amy

Oh wow, I can't believe it's been a year. Congratulations! I hope you two are happy together for a very long time. Two people in love is one of the most beautiful sights to be seen on this earth, and I wish you both nothing but happiness and love and all that good stuff. Beautiful write too...lol.
