The night sheds her wings about me
As if to say she was sorry
I was cut out
Bled to the earth
and through tears I drink
I can become alive again
Standing tall and alone
Looking still for a shadow
A twin
Or something more
To stand in and make this whole
Ill eye you once more
Endure

I'm not sure I would classify this as "dark" since it leaves a little hope at the end. "a shadow
A twin Or something more" -- that which you are looking for, makes an impression on me as it is something many people feel. Wonderful write! Cheers! |
