Little connection to my soul,
Like my tiny spirit and me are no longer whole.
Been awhile since I had some inspiration,
Reading the book of Anthony Kiedis is my reason.
His life story excited my flow of rhyme
Made me realise now is the time.
Time to stop following my path of self-destruction,
Approach the world with open arms not caution.
Time to give my eyes back their beauty.
Give my soul back it’s flair for being crazy.
No longer will my eyes be mirrors of no expression
Something inside of me has finally awoken.
Awoken the feeling of being more than I knew,
Something came to my rescue.
After reading the book I felt enlightenment.
My spirit of being became more vibrant.
I no longer walk feeling like a lonely maiden.
I found strength and my haven.
Haven within the words that he poured onto the pages.
Showing that life has many stages.
That it’s your choice to which you choose to perform on.
And your choice of life song,
The world can be dark but if you sing a loving song,
Life will hardly ever go wrong,
Wrong to the point that you can’t change,
It may occasionally seem all too strange.
Sing your song and perform on your stage,
Don’t let anyone else form your cage.
Help someone else and you will begin to actually live.
Make it your life motive….
