You made me think I deserved it.
You made me think I was a whore.
Everytime you touched me,
it pulled me in a little more.
You slapped me around
as if it were a game.
Afterword you play
that your emotions could not be tamed.
For years I held it in.
I never said a word.
But the memories soared on
like the flying of a bird.
The bruises are still fading,
the scars set like a brand.
They're just a way to remind me
of that painful, distant land.
