“Resolution” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 02/07

It’s going on three days now
No sleep at all for me
Too much spinning in my head
Too much complete mystery.

I try but I can’t go there
My dreams won’t welcome me
My eyes are so wide open
My mind won’t set me free

Too much to consider here
And way too much to lose
I need some Resolution
A sign to help me choose

My heart is now at stake here
You have it in your hand
I can’t find any answers
What if’s are in demand

Tell me what you’re thinking
What’s right and wrong to you?
Gone way too far to back down
We have to see it through

Together we must find it
We both know how it can be
It’s time for Resolution
To keep this, you and me

There has to be a way for us
We’ve got to find it fast
Everything else is right in place
We have to, just to last

Piece by piece I’m folding
Depression’s on the way
Losing sense of who I am
More and more each day

I’m not ready to give you up
Not without, at least a fight
My heart says you’re my fate
You should be with me tonight

The only logical conclusion
Is the one that’s just so wrong
To let us be, and wait it out
We’ve known this a along

It’s so unfair, it hurts us
We both know what is best
Until there’s some solution
There’s no way that I can rest

We need some Resolution
We still just have to try
Let’s not give in so easy
We need this you and I
