The Bliss of Immaturity

Contributed by darkplaidbabe on Friday, 31st December 2004 @ 10:12:24 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Making out in the movie show
What happens in the end? Maybe we’ll never know
Paranoia taking hold, smoking, tokin in the cold
Remember the time in my backyard? Making conversation was never so hard
When will I get to see you again?
When will we laugh like we did back then?
You were mine, you were my first
The pain was bad but definitely not the worst
Drinking in the locker room
Never thought it would end so soon
Chicken fights and getting drunk
Kicked some kids ass for calling me a punk
Those were the days we used to know
All we wanted was a place to call home
***** off and naive, no one cared, no one believed
We were just kids from the wrong side of the tracks
Couldn’t get back in line, just a pain in the ass
Sleeping in my best friends tub
Try to hide the baggie of drugs
Making best friends with maryjane
Stealing CDs and wallets with chains
Getting dumped and pressured for sex
Getting suspended for cheating on tests
Trying to make friends so we can get in for free
Searching for ferrets and lost car keys
Getting in trouble for ***** we didn’t say
Getting beat up and running away
*****ty report cards and forged signatures
We think they don’t get it, they think we’re immature
Bumming cigarettes and chilling on the balcony
Sitting and talking bout who we wanna be
Walking three miles just to get a coke
Spending sixty bucks just for a toke
Eyes all red and movements tipsy
Wishing I could hit her back when she hits me
Playing doctor with the neighbor kids
Taking the heat for something they did
Wanting to be so much more than friends
And finally getting that hug and kiss in the end
Knowing he likes her and not saying a word
She likes him too and somehow she’s heard
Falling in love way before its legal
Dyeing the ears of the neighbor lady’s beagle
Piercing, poking and cutting body parts
ADHD, self mutilation, and art
Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Blink 182
Lying on the roof at night with you
The world may be against me but I wont give up the fight
They say im wrong but they’ll see im right
Knowing the answer and not getting chosen
Being labeled a goth, then called a poser
This is my life and damn does it suck,
But it’s the only one ive got so why give a *****?
Im gonna live life to the fullest and leave behind all regrets
I may be getting older but I haven’t grown up yet
