Amour oublié
Twisted smile, precarious steps, the
fresh, new double-entendre of her walk,
her beauty is unmade of this world, my
world – in which I fall into her gaze, she
speaks but unspoken, pure water, sunless
winter: endless recherche du temps perdu
slow dulcimer, gavotte and bow, in autumn,
we make our way among the grey, the shallow
bridge of the gasoline-rainbow sparkles,
under her glove rests my hand, she drifts
away, soft rouge on cheek, a lover’s
parting:
diu me captata est

I found this quite refreshing, being french and all, i really enjoyed the little pieces of french within your poem.
Bravo! Well done. |
