Sly

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

He rose from the sea smelling of salt and child hood memories. After 13 years I still recognised that face, those eyes, so strong, so bloody p***-weak. All the pain, all the anger I had felt for him over his 'suicide' as a teenager surged through my fists. He did not defend against me and it was only the shock of his blood that made me stop.

He was alive.

Questions ran riot through the streets of my mind, every thought rampaged and collided with the next. I managed to stutter out..
"W-why?"

I knew the answer before he told me.
