Voices In My Head

“Voices In My Head” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 02/07

My heart has reached it’s breaking point
Bleeding me inside
Frustration, grasping me so tight
Derailed me, left to hide.

Off my track, and out of reach
These Voices In My Head
Leave me spinning all around
Leaving me for dead.

Never ending nightmares scream
Never will you know
Not allowed to make some sense
Of all that’s now on hold.

Wait and see, so patiently
Trapped in this frozen time
The boiling point is creeping up
My blood begins to climb.

Overflowing with uncertainty
Is there ever to be an end?
It’s all so overwhelming here
These Voices In My Head.

Voices that keep pulling me
First this way, and then that
Am I allowed to fall in love?
Why have I come off track?

These Voices In My Head are real
They won’t leave me alone
Constantly, not letting me
Just find my own way home.

I just want to find perfect love
It’s all that I have said
Why can it not happen to me?
Just Voices In My head.

Let me go, and let me love
Just go and set me free
I hate these Voices In My Head
They are controlling me.

I will not listen anymore
I’ll make my mind my own
No more Voices In My Head
I’ll find my love alone.
