New Meaing

Contributed by socialburnin on Thursday, 30th December 2004 @ 02:54:27 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Should love then be this awful
As to take away by painful chance
All love for living and lust for breathing?
Should I then, taken by loves masterful and painful reins
Be steered in such a course
That I see not the purpose of my hearts power?
Nay fair shadow, nay
For I see nothing in your eyes that should
Above all scientific and religious prophecies
Convince me of true loves power for good and joy
Torn apart we lay together
Like fragments off a storm broken vessal
Lying strewn and unchecked along the vast shores of emptiness and forever
My forever is your painful eternity
And yours mine, dear sweet angel
For one so fair you have yourself a most bitter disposition
And to call yourself malicious is too wrong to be wrong
And too painful to hurt, but indeed thats what this feeling must be
Manifested deep within my heart and my mind
Like some evil and bitter thought
Brooding and knawing forever at my bones
Until such a day when its power becomes to great for us both
And we are at least and at last taken by it
Or could it be, that both our wrongs on the path of love
Were mearly road signs to point us in the correct direction
Maybe this feeling I own does not hurt so much as it flies
And makes me write down my thoughts
Like a blind bard whose eyes have first seen daylight
Scripting a sonnet about the beauty of life itself
Instill in my some idea
Lest my faith be shattered again
May the broken girl find the broken boy
And may they together make such beautiful love
That the birds will sing and the stars will shine
And life take on new meaning
I await then your reply
Dearest one to me
