The fire is dim, but its still burning
The insanity only covers the wonder in his eyes
The path is snowy, but still accessible
As he reaches for heaven, and he's talking to god
His lips part and he bellows a slurred sentence
His nerves jerk, he knocks the coffee off the nightstand
The mug shatters on the floor
His head is bandaged, but he's reconisable
He might be paralyzed but not enough to stop his heart
From beating
And something else is moving
Maybe not his legs, but the glitter in his eyes
When he see's his family and freinds
Thier only black and white
Nothing phases him, anymore
Life, death, or anything in between
His eyes roll back
The glitter dissapears
He sinks into the hospitol bed
And from his throat comes one last groan
Soon to fade,
But never to vanish
