molesting dreams

she awoke sweating and oddly aroused
wondering where the face came from
waiting for it to return she wept
afraid she would see him again
yet terrified that he would not come
and she would never feel that joy
the anger she harbored when he left
vanishing from the hold of her arms
knowing that it was purely fiction
a dream that consumed her body
making it shudder in the wake of it all
at night she prayed that very soon
his face would cease to exist for her
stop haunting her dreams and maybe
find the molesting of her mind childsplay
closing her eyes and turning over
thusfar acheiving only exhaustion
and the bitter reality that she
was alone to wallow in her fears.
