Rattling chains
Wheezing souls
Dancing chaotically
In the moors
Hear the hounds
Listen and heed their howls
Sing sweetly to the ghosts
That haunt your soul
Misty mountains calling
In tongues only your soul
Can hear above the din of life
As it slowly filters out
Tears of red
Silken rose petals fall
Dripping to the ground
From a fountain of life
That once contained your soul

Picturesque. And... it seems to fit, right now.
How a poem so short can capture a mood I don't know. Brilliant!
Cheers! |

Good imagery, interesting title,
and thought-provoking piece.
I especially enjoyed
the last two stanzas:
Tears of red
Silken rose petals fall
Dripping to the ground
From a fountain of life
That once contained your soul
Misty mountains calling
In tongues only your soul
Can hear above the din of life
As it slowly filters out
