The Girl's Complicated
That girl will take her love
That girl will change your mind
That girl will leave you all alone,
and shove your love behind
Cause I'm telling you, that girl is smart
That girl will ***** break your heart
(She'll) Get your love and your lust
***** your sense of trust
That girl is smart...
She has no need for you
You might be confused
She knows she'll never let herself be used
She'll take you till she breaks you
***** castrate you,
from the mind inside out
That girl's complicated..
She sleeps with you, she's a whore
You conquer her, your adored
You're just a man and she'll always be a game
All she wants is to be equal - the same
"The girl is complicated," they say
She just wants to be alone
She only lures you for fun
Takes you in & gets your total attention
Leaves you when you least expected
You call her a ***** ***** tease
But she knows you'll be begging for more on your knees
She's got you where she wants you, and she doesn't want you at all
Do you get that?
She wants to see you fall
She's in this for mass destruction,
to destruct you the only way she can
You're just the another ***** ignorant man
She feels frustrated that she can't be seen as just a human and nothing more
To use a man for destruction, that is the question; her heart is tore
Her hands feel tied and her mouth feels dried - she can't express her point
It's not because of ignorance on her part, but the daily dumbing of the people on this earth
Parents wonder about her sexuality
They just don't get her - stuck in societies mentality
A girl her age should be engaged
Hell, even married with a baby
So yeah, that girl is complicated
No matter what she does, it's wrong
Nobody bothers to see what's right
She'll stand alone in this ignorant fight
That girl doesn't want to grace the cover of magazines
That girl wants to be mute in sexuality
She's tired of being an object,
wants to speak her mind
She wants every humans respect,
and wants to change their mind
If she's silent - she'll be just another pretty face
If she speaks up against this stereotype,
she's just considered an ugly dike
But that's not the case in either forms
Can't people just be people without being seen as sex?
Can't a girl be a girl with no stigmas attached?
Society, and media, will do their best to rot your mind You're not a woman if you don't have a pretty face
This stigma isn't only carried by one sex - it's everywhere, everyone, you'll find
But that girl will work her life to prove her case
"That girl is complicated," they say..

Not all people think of women in this way, and surely not all women feel this way (even pretty women). Yet I agree with you, we are like marionettes in the hands of men, they use us and then throw us whenever they want. But why did this happen? Because we gave them the chance by humiliating ourselves. I believe if a woman wants to be treated as a human, wants to be respected, she must respect and protect herself with a shield of knowledge, awareness, and decency, and eventually she will gain the respect of others.
I like the way you expressed yourself, keep it up. Thank you! |

Being a guy, i still love your poem, i live in a place where the chicks shall we say, well, most of the people where i live are rather dead, 16 year olds seem to be getting married here you know what i mean, its insane to me, i think the roles people have when it comes to sex is so wrong, really in todays world for the most part, i am going to post a poem here in a second and if it reaches the message board in the angry section i would be glad if you took a look at it, i will title it revlon. |

Hi everybody,
I appreciate all the feedback! Thanks for taking the time to read my poem! At any rate, I agree with a lot of you - Like I said, it is rather secular in veiws. It was just a momentary thought, really. But yeah, not all people are that narrow minded. I know lots of great men and women who do their best each day to break down stereotypes, and barriers. So cheers to them! What can I say, I did file this under "angry", lol, anger along with every other emotion is only momentary. It comes and goes. Not trying to weasel out of anything.. I'm just saying not to take it too extreme. Anyhow, thanks again! |
