Erin Drackelson:
I almost knew her
Would have been true to her
'Cause she's the lady on the corner
Of my mind's avenue and lovely dreams
And don't you know
Everyone loves to hear her sing
It's not the everyday kind-of love
It's the warm-hearted love under the sun
The woman I almost know
Wears exotic feathers and a bright colored bow
Can I help it if I stumble in my shoes?
She's the love I almost knew
I almost knew
I almost knew

I completely agree with Jarred. This is absolutely beautiful and I think its a shame not a lot of people have commented on this. But i know what all of them would say; and so do you, I think. Wonderful write, I would enjoy reading another of your poems :-)
