Father,Healer,Friend....

Topic: ChristianPoetry

In need of assistance, I cry out in vain
I am a lost child, my doubts i still retain
But I fear for my death, for what will remain

Fights and battles, battles and fights,
each day another battle, each night another fight
day by day my soul withers away
from my doubts the demons come

and doubting the wisdom that i was supplied
i fall to the deceptions and lies
each fight one by one

first was temptation, intending to blind
telling me to sin, trying to corrupt my mind
if not enough then came pain, with heartache and sorrow
Making me feel, there’s no tomorrow.

the end was near i would soon fall to temptation and fear...
then my final battle was here
the final demon was near

bringing death to family, and sorrow to my life
taking my happiness and replacing it with strife
all happiness was gone and hope was lost

but something snapped and i began to cry
the demons backed away and disappear out of my land
the battle is over and i relies jesus is at my right hand

I turn around and I look at the field,
Holding nothing but my sword and shield.
The battle was brutal, with casualties everywhere,
Yet I survived, though sometimes it was dark and unable to bear

but my savior was always there, dieing so i may live
no greater sacrifice could he give
thank you father in heaven above
no longer do i doubt your love
i may have been dumb, fighting you till the end
but you proved to me your my one true friend

A beautiful poem. The fight is always there, otherwise we don't grow.
