The mice scurry past the clock
Not waiting for it's ring
The dog whines in his sleep
From the pain and relief
Drip goes the paint as it drops to the carpet
Rip goes the paper as it tears from your grasp
Little known but oh so wise
Have no faith as a priest
Count to ten on one hand
Count your toes as they squirm
The chair squeaks and your heart races
The door knocks and your heart stops
An owl whoos but does not answer
A gleam turns into a knife
Water fills the tub
Blood drains the soul
Count to ten on one hand
The door knocks and your heart stops
Water drains the soul
Blood fills the tub
Good night
